‘Fall’ing in love with Asali Cafe’s pumpkin-based seasonal menu

‘Tis the season of pumpkins, but don’t settle for just PSLs. Tickle your tastebuds to some drool-worthy seasonal desserts from Asali cafe at the McGreggor Village in Cary, NC.

If you have been to Asali cafe, you already know how pretty their desserts are! We had a virtual tasting of selected items from their Fall dessert menu. Here’s what we tried and loved:

  • Spice cake pop
    This cake pop is a great way to start your pumpkin-based dessert tasting at Asali. This spice cake buttercream cake pop is covered in a layer of chocolate and is a cute pumpkin cooking dessert.
    The spice notes on this dessert are mild and welcoming to the palate.

  • Pumpkin Cheesecake Mousse over Spice Cake
    This entremets is a spongy spice cake topped with a smooth pumpkin cheesecake mousse, and covered with a biscoff crust and chocolate mirror glaze. The smooth pumpkin cheesecake mousse and the biscoff crust is sure to send you to pumpkin paradise.
    It comes topped with a cute almond paste pumpkin. If you visit Asali and want to settle for just one dessert, this has got to be the one! It is everything you would hope for in a pumpkin dessert.

  • Spiced Autumn Latte
    What’s better than a pumpkin spice latte? Asali presents to you this lovely homemade saffron, cardamom, rose syrup, and pumpkin spice latte. The subtle flavor of pumpkin spice elevates the taste of this latte and makes it perfect to be consumed as a hot or a cold drink!

  • Mini Pumpkin Scone
    What better way to enjoy your Spiced Autumn Latte than to pair it with this melts-in-you-mouth pumpkin scone? The pumpkin scone is made with tender pumpkins and finished with a vanilla and pumpkin glaze.
    This pumpkin scone is would be great for breakfast and as an after pick-me-up, or even an evening snack.

  • Mini Ginger Chocolate Mousse Dome
    If you are not a pumpkin spice fan, there’s something for you too! Get yourself a ginger chocolate mousse dome, a creamy chocolate dome with candied ginger and mirror glaze, all sitting on top of rice crispy treat and covered in edible gold specks.

Other than these, Asali also has a seasonal Autumn Mousse with a vanilla bean custard base, maple mousse, and pumpkin mousse with vanilla buttercream and chocolate gold maple leaf.
Not just that, you can also enjoy vegan and gluten-free offerings from Asali such as their best selling macarons, rice pudding, almond tart, vegan bracelet to name a few.
Asali desserts and cafe has some of the best looking and tasting desserts in the Triangle area. We highly recommend trying their baklava cheesecake and kanafa! It’s some of the best desserts we have ever had and we are sure you will become a fan of the chief baker and one of the owners, Hanadi’s baking, just like us. We can keep adding more great offerings from Asali, but we will save that for another blog post! Now, enjoy a slideshow of all things seasonal from Asali.

Asali Cafe, located at 107 Edinburgh Drive, Suite 106-A, Cary, North Carolina 27511, is currently open Monday to Sunday (10 AM to 8 PM) for take-out and online ordering. You can also enjoy the drinks and desserts at their covered outdoor patio (with free WiFi).
